“ Today my boyfriend his mom and I ate here the food was good the bathrooms was clean the only thing I would like for them is not have the wait to come to the table as much as they do take the order give update bring food about 15 minutes after then ask if anything needed pick up plates then ask ask if anything needed not keep running to the table as soon as I get my food but other then that everything was nice last thing we was told that by our waiter that they charge for using a debit card what we order was not 98.00 including taxes please explain this soon ”
“ What a cool place... This was a great choice for dinner. It has really cool decor and a great environment. It is casual but upscale where you go there to watch sports, have a business meeting, or even a date. The service was off the hook awesome - Emily is a Rockstar waitress. The food was delicious. We had the gator bits as an appetizer. I had the catfish lebeaux, which was great. My friend had the delta queen and really enjoyed it. This is a great place to have a great meal. ”
“ Ate here on a Wednesday for lunch. I haven't been here in a couple of years. The restaurant wasn't very busy but there was a decent crowd. I ordered off of the lunch menu. I got the chicken Caesar salad. It was very good and a decent sized portion for lunch. Our waiter was pleasant. For lunch, I recommend. Will have to come back for a dinner review. ”
“ Great food and service. Gator tail was the most tender I've ever had anywhere. Got a cup of the gumbo. They let you know that it's a dark roux, and while ok, it was just before being bitter. Would definitely go back, but get something else. The Delta Queen was enough for 2 people. ”
“ Love their chargrilled oysters and boudin balls. Sat at the oysters bar and had great friendly service. Plenty of TVs in the bar area to catch the games. ”
“ The gumbo is out of this world. It’s a dark roux with a smoky flavor, it’s so good. Catfish is crispy. Coconut shrimp are huge and not too sweet. The etouffee is so full of flavor. Great service, music isn’t too loud. Worth every penny and then some. Alex was a great waiter, quick and knowledgeable. ”
“ Was in town last week for a college visit and decided to come to Roux even before we got to Baton Rouge. We got there early enough as we were seated right away. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. By the time we left the place was full and not a seat open. Food was wonderful and filling. The house salad was full of tangerines, pecans and cranberries. One of us had the seafood platter and what was nice is that the catfish had a very light breading. Another had the shrimp boil and I had the seafood potato. The sauce was rich but man it was great. We also had the gator bites and 1/2 dozen grilled oysters. If we are ever back this way, we will be back for sure. ”
“ The food is fresh and delicious! The service is impeccable and they really are top notch in every way possible appreciate and enjoyed the entire experience ”
